Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala), Ministry of Railways ने Apprenticeship Act, 1961 के तहत 734 Act Apprentice seats के लिए Notice No. A-1/2026 जारी किया है।
Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Painter, Carpenter, Electrician, AC & Ref. Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle और Electronic Mechanic trades में training दी जाएगी।
उम्मीदवार के पास 10th में minimum 50% aggregate marks और संबंधित notified trade में NCVT National Trade Certificate होना चाहिए।
Online applications आमंत्रित हैं; notification में अलग opening date नहीं दी गई है और आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि 05 September 2026 रात 24:00 बजे है।

Category-wise Relaxation
- SC/ST: Upper age limit में 5 years relaxation.
- OBC: Upper age limit में 3 years relaxation.
- Persons with Disability: Upper age limit में 10 years relaxation.
Ex-Servicemen
Notification के अनुसार ex-servicemen को Defence Forces में rendered service की अवधि + 3 years के आधार पर, prescribed conditions के अधीन, additional age relaxation up to 10 years दिया जा सकता है।
इसके लिए कम-से-कम 6 months continuous service की condition दी गई है। पहले ही ex-serviceman status का लाभ लेकर civil Government service join कर चुके candidates पर notification की stated exception लागू होगी।
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Recognized Board से 10th Class अथवा equivalent परीक्षा pass.
- 10th में minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- संबंधित notified trade में National Trade Certificate होना चाहिए.
- Trade Certificate National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) द्वारा issued होना चाहिए.
Merit के लिए Marks
- Matriculation percentage निकालते समय सभी subjects के marks reckon किए जाएंगे.
- ITI percentage provisional/final certificate में दिए marks से लिया जाएगा.
- CGPA होने पर notice में CGPA × 9.5 से percentage निकालने का procedure दिया गया है.

Selection Process
Merit Formula
Merit = Matriculation percentage + ITI percentage का simple average.
उदाहरण: Matric 70% और ITI 80% होने पर merit percentage = (70 + 80) / 2 = 75%.
Tie-Breaking
- Same marks होने पर older candidate को preference.
- Date of Birth भी same होने पर जिसने Matriculation exam पहले pass किया है उसे preference.
- Final merit list trade-wise और community-wise तैयार होगी.
- Final panel notified slots के बराबर descending merit order में तैयार होगा.
- Selected/enlisted candidates original testimonials verification और prescribed medical fitness के अधीन होंगे.
- Scrutiny/Document Verification के लिए लगभग 1.5 times identified slots तक candidates बुलाए जा सकते हैं.
- Unfilled slot की स्थिति में merit list से अगला candidate लिया जा सकता है; waiting list training commencement के 1 month बाद cancel हो जाएगी.
Reservation Rules
SC / ST / OBC
- SC/ST reservation claim के लिए competent authority का caste certificate DV में देना होगा.
- OBC candidate को caste certificate के साथ Non-Creamy Layer certificate देना होगा.
- SC seats योग्य candidate न मिलने पर ST और ST seats योग्य candidate न मिलने पर SC से भरी जा सकती हैं; फिर remaining seats applicable rule के अनुसार other category से भरी जा सकती हैं.
- OBC की unfilled seats UR category से भरी जा सकती हैं.
PWD / Ex-Servicemen
- PWD के लिए notification में total seats का 4% reservation बताया गया है.
- Ex-Servicemen, उनके children तथा Armed Forces personnel के children के लिए 3% provision बताया गया है.
- PWD benefit के लिए disability कम-से-कम 40% होनी चाहिए.
- PWD certificate competent Medical Board/Central या State Government authority से होना चाहिए.
Application Rules & How to Apply
- Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala की official website पर जाकर Act Apprentice 2026 online application खोलें और personal/BIO-DATA details carefully भरें.
- 10th एवं ITI/NTC details, trade, category, active mobile number और valid e-mail ID भरकर required photograph एवं signature upload करें.
- Application successfully complete होने के बाद prescribed fee, जहाँ लागू हो, form में दिए link से online जमा करें और final application का printout सुरक्षित रखें.
- Application 05 September 2026 रात 24:00 बजे तक पूरा करें। Physical application copy RCF को भेजने की जरूरत नहीं है.

Training Period & Stipend
- Training period और stipend Railway Board के समय-समय पर लागू extant rules/directives के अनुसार होंगे.
- Notice में fixed monthly stipend amount अलग से नहीं दिया गया है.
- Selected candidate को Apprenticeship training शुरू होने से पहले Contract of Apprenticeship execute करना होगा; minor candidate होने पर guardian की भूमिका applicable होगी.
- Hostel accommodation प्रदान नहीं किया जाएगा.
- Candidate को training के दौरान अपना accommodation स्वयं arrange करना होगा.
- Training complete होने पर apprentice release कर दिया जाएगा.
Medical Fitness
Document Verification के समय prescribed format का Medical Fitness Certificate लाना होगा। Certificate Government authorized Gazetted Doctor द्वारा signed होना चाहिए, जो Central/State Hospital में Assistant Surgeon के rank से नीचे न हो।
Basic Physical Standards
- Height: minimum 137 cm.
- Weight: minimum 25.4 kg.
- Chest expansion: minimum 3.8 cm, irrespective of chest size.
- Contagious/infectious disease तथा active/healed tuberculosis का evidence नहीं होना चाहिए.
Other Medical Conditions
- Hearing दोनों ears में good हो; hearing aid permitted नहीं.
- Acute/chronic skin disease या chronic ulceration नहीं होना चाहिए.
- Speech preferably without impediment.
- Respiratory, nervous, skeletal, genito-urinary एवं glandular systems में disqualifying disease नहीं होनी चाहिए.
- Blood Pressure 140 systolic / 85 diastolic से अधिक नहीं; systolic 100 से नीचे होने पर notice में rejection condition दी गई है.
Eyes
दोनों eyes/lids में ऐसी morbid condition नहीं होनी चाहिए जो training/service के दौरान aggravate या recur होने की संभावना रखती हो। Annexure-A में specified trades के लिए one-eye vision related restrictions भी दी गई हैं। Colour vision को “Not required” बताया गया है।

1. कुल कितनी Apprentice seats हैं?
कुल 734 Act Apprentice seats notified हैं.
2. क्या केवल 10th pass candidate apply कर सकता है?
नहीं। 10th में minimum 50% aggregate marks के साथ संबंधित notified trade का NCVT National Trade Certificate भी आवश्यक है.
3. क्या selection के लिए written exam होगा?
Notification में written exam का उल्लेख नहीं है। Merit Matriculation और ITI percentages के simple average पर बनेगी.
4. Application Fee कितनी है?
₹100 non-refundable है। SC, ST, PWD और Women candidates को fee नहीं देनी है.
5. क्या Apprenticeship के बाद Railway job मिलेगी?
नहीं। Training complete होने से Railway employment/absorption का automatic right नहीं मिलता.
