Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) ने Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2027 के लिए विस्तृत Notification जारी किया है। इसके माध्यम से Geological Survey of India (GSI) और Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) में Geologist, Chemist, Scientist ‘B’, Assistant Geologist, Assistant Geophysicist सहित कुल 127 पद भरे जाएंगे। संबंधित Geology, Geophysics, Physics, Chemistry, Hydrogeology आदि disciplines में prescribed Master’s / M.Sc. qualification आवश्यक है। Online Application 02 September 2026 से उपलब्ध है और अंतिम तिथि 22 September 2026 शाम 6:00 बजे तक है। Preliminary Examination 10 January 2027 को होगी।

Important Qualification Conditions

  • Master’s Degree संबंधित discipline में graduation के बाद minimum 2-year postgraduate degree है; integrated route भी official condition के अनुसार covered हो सकता है।
  • Qualifying exam appeared/result-awaiting candidates provisional basis पर apply कर सकते हैं; Personality Test qualification पर Main result के बाद 10-day window में proof upload करना होगा।
  • Government-approved foreign University की relevant Master’s degree वाले otherwise qualified candidate को Commission admit कर सकती है।
  • Geo-Exploration / Applied Geology qualification वाला candidate Notice के अनुसार Geophysics तथा Geology/Hydrogeology streams के eligible posts में से application के समय केवल एक Stream/Discipline choose करेगा।
  • Service allocation के लिए कम से कम एक participating service preference देना mandatory है।

  • Preliminary qualification General Studies Paper-I और stream-specific Paper-II में UPSC-fixed minimum qualifying marks पर होगी; exact percentage Notice में नहीं दिया गया।
  • Main-qualified candidates में से लगभग vacancies के 2 गुना candidates Personality Test के लिए बुलाए जाएंगे।
  • Personality Test में कोई minimum qualifying marks नहीं है।

Tie-Breaking

  1. Final marks equal होने पर relevant subject-specific Preliminary Paper-II + Main stream papers + Personality Test aggregate higher candidate above.
  2. फिर subject-specific Preliminary Paper-II + Main stream papers aggregate.
  3. फिर senior in age.
  4. फिर UPSC discretion.

How to Apply

  1. UPSC Online Application Portal पर Account Creation, URN और Common Application Form (CAF) complete करें।
  2. Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2027 का Exam Specific Module खोलकर eligible stream/post preference, centre और required details/documents भरें।
  3. Uploaded photograph के साथ live photograph capture करें; plain white paper पर black ink से तीन signatures one-below-another करके upload करें; applicable fee जमा करें।
  4. Final submission से पहले सभी details verify करें और URN/Application Number सुरक्षित रखें।
Correction Rule: Application submit होने के बाद correction/alteration/modification allowed नहीं है और application withdraw भी नहीं की जा सकती। URN Profile की one-time edit facility अलग है और change पहले से submitted application में reflect नहीं होगा।
  • Aadhaar use करने की UPSC ने strongly advise किया है।
  • Government/Public Enterprise employees को अपने Head of Office/Department को application की written information देनी होगी।
