Educational Qualification
SI in Delhi Police & SI (GD) in CAPFs
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent as on 30 September 2026. Candidates awaiting result may apply only if the required qualification is acquired and result declared by the closing date.
Additional Requirement for Delhi Police SI – Male
Male candidates must possess a valid LMV Driving Licence for Motorcycle and Car on the date fixed for Physical Endurance & Measurement Test. Without this licence, a male candidate remains eligible for CAPF SI posts but not Delhi Police SI.
SI (Fire) in CISF – Male
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized University or equivalent; OR Matriculation or equivalent plus three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical or Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent, from a recognized University/Board/Institution. Higher B.Tech/M.Tech in the relevant field is acceptable only subject to the prescribed basic qualification condition.

Ex-Servicemen are exempt from PET but must qualify prescribed physical standards and medical standards.
Medical Standards
- Near vision: N6 in better eye and N9 in worse eye.
- Distant vision: 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye, without correction such as spectacles or surgery to improve visual acuity.
- No knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint.
- Candidate should possess high colour vision.
- Candidate must be in good mental and bodily health and free from physical defects likely to interfere with duties.
Tattoo Conditions
- Permitted content: religious symbols/figures and names as followed in Indian Army.
- Permitted location: traditional sites such as inner aspect of left forearm (non-saluting limb) or dorsum of hands.
- Size: less than one-fourth of the particular body part.

Document Verification
DV will be conducted by CAPFs before final result, preferably along with DME/RME. Candidates must bring original documents and copies including Matriculation certificate, educational qualification certificate, relevant equivalence certificate if claimed, caste/category certificate, prescribed LMV licence for Delhi Police male candidates, ESM documents, age-relaxation certificate, departmental certificate where applicable, NOC if already employed in Government, name-change documents where applicable and any additional document specified in the Admission Certificate.

- Complete One-Time Registration on the new SSC website. OTR from the old SSC website is not valid on the new portal.
- Login and open the “Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2026” application under Latest Notifications.
- Fill qualification, category, ESM, age-relaxation, exam-centre and NCC details carefully.
- Capture live photograph as instructed; upload signature in prescribed JPEG/JPG format.
- Preview all details, submit the form and pay the fee if applicable.
- Keep a printout of the submitted application for records.
