MP UR Male / MP EWS Male / Other State Candidates: Maximum 33 years.
Women (all categories) / MP Reserved Male / eligible MP Govt.-service categories: Maximum 38 years, subject to rules.
Special relaxation such as inter-caste marriage / Vikram Award may extend the upper age limit further as prescribed in the official rulebook. Candidates should check their exact category before applying.
Eligibility / Qualification
Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer: 12th pass + Hindi Shorthand 100 words per minute + CPCT certificate with Hindi typing + prescribed computer qualification such as DOEACC Diploma level / one-year COPA / Modern Office Management / recognized Computer Diploma or equivalent accepted route.
Assistant Sub Inspector (Ministerial): 12th pass + CPCT certificate with Hindi typing + prescribed Computer/IT qualification such as Engineering Degree / MCA / BCA / M.Sc. Computer Science/IT / AICTE-approved Polytechnic Diploma / DOEACC Diploma / one-year COPA / Modern Office Management / recognized Computer Diploma or other accepted equivalent route.
Exam Pattern
Stage-1 Online Written Exam: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours.
Marking: +1 mark for each correct answer; no marks will be deducted for wrong or unattempted questions.

Detailed Syllabus
Stage-1: 40 marks General Knowledge & Logical Knowledge, 30 marks Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude, and 30 marks Science & Simple Arithmetic.
Subedar Stenographer Practical: 100 marks, 1 hour, minimum qualifying marks 30. Hindi shorthand dictation at 100 words per minute; two 5-minute dictations followed by transcription/typing as prescribed.
ASI Ministerial Practical: 100 marks, 1 hour, minimum qualifying marks 30. Two Hindi typing paragraphs of 600 words each; each paragraph is to be typed within 30 minutes.
